From Hero To Zero, The Death Knight

Death Knights came about as the “Hero” class. I remember when they came out and OMG were they hard to kill. After a few months of getting my main and alts to 80 I decided to start a Death Knight. Once he hit 80 the nerfing began. Reduce reduce reduce, remove,  higher refresh, this and that. It’s sad.

The logic doesn’t make sense. What about a “Hero” class makes it a hero when they are getting tuned down to be more in-line with other players. I mean I don’t like getting hit over and over by chains of ice, ground snares, pet stuns, Ground AoEs, and 8k+ scourge strikes but if the nerfing Death Knights continue I think they should lose their Hero class title and be just another character creation.

I don’t even play mine anymore. I just use the +20 speed increase to farm herbs for my alts.

    Blizzard had to nerf DKs because they were ruining Arena participation. No one wanted to do Arenas because no one could defeat two DKs. Blizzard noticed a HUGE decline in Arena play becaue DKs were owning Arenas. No, I was not the one whinning about the Arenas and DKs, but friends of mine were.

      Good point. Oddly enough I never recall fighting a DK in arena matches. We always got double Paladins which was bad enough :)

    they’re not called a hero class because they’re supposed to be better than every other class, they’re a “hero class” because they start at lvl 55 and not lvl 1. that is the sole reason for the “hero” part.

    the fact that they were overpowered was because of poor initial class balance by blizz, and they’re feeling the nerf because of it now.
