This weekend, this is 2 of 3 of my rare New Jack Swing collections moving upward to East Elmhurst, Queens, New York. Before becoming a successful Hip-Hop/R&B producer under the name, K-1 Million, 16 year old Kwamé Holland releases his debut album in early 1989 entitled Kwamé the Boy Genius Featuring A New Beginning and the first video from the album "The Man We All Know And Love" features cameo appearances from Kid N'Play, Spinderella, Hurby "Luv Bug" Azor, and more! This was the fun, friendly days of Hip-Hop before it got way too dirty! Take Note youngsters: Bright Colored Suits and Polka-Dot clothes were the styles back then and note that Kwame was the same age in this clip as Souljah Boi Tell'Em was on his debut and also take note on the difference of their talents. Kwame was cool, creative, talented, classy, and his music appealed to all ages! Souljah Boy was the complete opposite (nuff said)!!

The year was 1989...I was 11...and I loved the Beastie Boys...so I convinced my cousins to lip sync "Fight For Your Right". This is the result. Believe it or not, we didn't even know how to play guitar. I had to sing for Ad Rock & Mike D cuz there was only two of us.
